* I am amazingly good at starting projects up but not that good with the whole finishing part.

* Lots of times I start up some AMV I'm working on, preview what I've done so far about 5 times and get super psyked to continue. Then I stare at the screen for 5-10 minutes without doing anything and later this is what goes in my head "Baaah, I'll work on this later.. Feel like eating something and watch the big bang theory now"

* I have a hard time knowing what people will like and what they wont. I can think I made something pretty good but then I get very little to none feedback on it. Neither good or bad so next time I second guess myself all the time. (Even more then I did the last time)

* Lazy is my first name. I really only finish vids because I have some sort of deadline, Like a contest or such. But this pretty much is the story with all I do.

* Also, I have a really hard time deleting footage from my hdd that I converted for editing purpose. I don't want to go through the time of converting them all again if I want to do another AMV with the same anime. This results of my hdd almost physically bursting due to too much stuff on it. D:

Lets see -

- I get annoyed with the tediousness of some effects so I tend to rush them and do a half assed job

- If the effects required for an amv are too complex I give up

- I can't edit for other genres well. Which is why I don't usually make action, drama or romance. (though some tell me editing comedy is harder than those)

- I use more hard cuts than anything and am not an effects guy

- I edit to vocal and musical phrases as opposed to editing to the beat.

- All of my best amvs are on-the-fly-ideas that had almost no planning done beforehand save a couple scenes. (Guro Soup defines this perfectly because it was all my small "clip" ideas I had for stuff over a 2 year period)

- I've never made a video that I felt was good enough that it could win masters at awa.

That's about all I can think of.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....

Pretty much the same with 1 and 2. 3 definitely. :/ Happens everytime.

Comedy is and isn't one of the hardest categories to do depending on the person. The more generic your humor, the more people you can "get" with your jokes, which is hard for people with a unique sense of humor. At the same time, you don't have to do a good job polishing a comedy video if it's funny, so the video can be "cheap and easy" to make.

Those videos are usually pretty terrible and rely on the audio rather then actual creativity and editing skill.

I've never made a comedy vid, but I'll try just to see how complex can it be

AMV Hell wasn't the best quality (some limitations to source material) and they didn't use massive effects or anything fancy, but the concepts and execution were brilliant.
