btw, what is the definition of punk anyway? I heard pennywise say that the last TRUE punk band were the Dead Kenedys (Gotta love police truck.)

aww sigh yourself, I wanna know, cuz I know that green day and blink 182, despite popular belief, are not punk, but if they aren't, then niether are suicide machine, the vandals and the rest. so again I ask. What is the defenition of punk. the set in stone, clear cut, defenition of punk music.

Here are some definitions I found at www.dictionary.com :

punk (pungk)
- as an adjective

3. Chinese incense.

Here's the definition of "punk rock" from http://www.dictionary.com...

punk rock - noun
1. A form of hard-driving rock 'n' roll originating in the 1970s, characterized by harsh lyrics attacking conventional society and popular culture, and often expressing alienation and anger.

I'd go along with that definition.
