Anime Star Wars DDR Type thing

At last count, there are three characters/TV spots left that this project still needs people to do:

Yoda
Anakin
R2-D2

I'd think somebody here would have a field day making a kick-ass Yoda AMV TV spot. These should be relatively easy to do- they're only like 30 seconds long, and about half of that is titles.

If you're interested but are drawing a blank as to what character to use, there have been a few ideas kicked around for the remaining characters, so don't let that hold you back!

Out of curiousity (and because I don't have the DVD in front of me) are the TV spots on the Episode II DVD? I'm thinking about doing the spot for Yoda or Anakin, but I need to see them first to know what I'd be getting into.

Yes the TV spots are on the Episode II DVD. You an see the Anakin spot on that site I gave you though.

Ok guys, I've watched the two TV spots (Yoda and Anakin) and I wouldn't mind doing either of them. My problem is coming up with characters that'd fit. So far I've come up with Master Roshi for Yoda (he's the only old guy I can think of who has equal parts standing around and action), and absolutely no one for Anakin's (can't think of an anime with comparable vehichles and someone that uses a sword

)

Any suggestions?

Use Van from Escaflowne to Anakin. He uses a sword and the escaflowne changes into a flying dragon which can be passed off as a speeder.

Van was one of the ones I had thought would work as well fro Anakin, though I was thinking of the movie Van. I wish I'd watched the spot recently to remember what all it had in it. Were this ep. 1, I'd almost suggest Shu from Now and Then, Here and There, but Shu might be a bit young for Anakin (then again, we're using Utena for Obi-Wan, so I think being the wrong age shouldn't be a problem). You could also probably use the main character from Gatekeepers, Shun. He's got a decent amount of swordplay, and you could use his hotrod car for the speeder. If you want to continue the theme of gender-swapping the main characters, use Motoko (though good luck on the speeder...)

For Yoda, Master Roshi was another one that we'd thought of, as was Krillin (there just aren't a whole lot of short characters that come to mind that kick ass...). Though I won't even begin to say how wrong this would be, there's also Happosai... :shudder:

Well looks like Im gonna have to drop out of this little project. My life basically sucks right now and I just cant get my part done, its taking all I have just to live so I will just have to drop out.

Happosai looks closer to Yoda than Roshi in my opinion.

Yes, but..... I'm sorry, I just have a hard time picturing Yoda running away from a horde of angry women bouncing around happily with a bag full of women's undergarments and a bra over his head screaming "Buracha! Burachaaaaa!"
