What I do for clips that exibit the problem is I open the D2V file in TMPGEnc, then I use the Source Range filter to clip out only the part of the clip that I need which exibits the discoloration issue, and save it as an AVI from TMPGEnc as Huffyuv. Then import that into Premiere.

For the very few times I encounter this bug, it works great, and I don't have to use VFAPI for the whole project.

Remember you must open the _D2V_ file in TMPGEnc, not the AVS file since it's AVISynth that has the bug.
