I don't. I don't have the tits of a disney princess so the dress keeps sliding down my torso.

I think that most people who indulge in watching and obsessing over anime are considered socially "abnormal" personality wise. Seriously, you've seen how they act when they gather together at cons. That's not normal : /
I'm a bit abnormal myself, but no to the extreme of otakudom. Basically, though i watch anime and read manga, i wouldn't really consider myself a otaku due to my general attitude toward it. I like it the same way i would like any tv series or book. So i'm not normal, but not really that abnormal .... or something. : /

Given modern medicine's (by which I mean Western medicine's) incredible obsession for categorizing just about every single aspect of human nature as some sort of abnormality, I've decided "normal" is predominantly a state of mind - it's normal for people to think they're normal, or, at least, to not think they're abnormal. Beyond that, not so much is black and white.

I will say that people who fervently believe they're "normal" rank among the most self-centered bigots I've ever met.

Fucking great post BasharOfTheAges.

Now as for me, normal scares the shit out of me. Normal equals following the trend ie being too scared to actually have enough balls to do things your own way.

I wear the clothes I want to wear, and if they are cheap shit brands but I like them, then screw anyone that thinks I don't look "cool". Cool is no better than normal.

I don't want to be "cool" I want to be me. And I don't give a shit what you think of me REALLY. It only counts to me what "I" think of me. Your opinion of me has no value to me. I have to live with me, not you.

I like watching the animes I like, and I like watching them from whatever source floats my boat.
I like having anime posters up alongside weapons of warfare and my great cats art. I see no problem with that.
I enjoy my anime in as many ways as I feel like. I don't care in the slightest what you think of hentai. I decide what hentai is sick and what hentai is merely odd.

And if I want to listen to nothing but amvs that's my business.
The lousiest mytube narutard amvs are usually still an improvement over anything on mainstream tv music videos.
So no I don't care how much screwed in the head multi millionaire artist spent on their POS music video, it likely still sucks.
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.
