They just said they aren't even a teenager yet, it's really hard to find work when you're 12 or younger \:

Ah, much thanks to CrackTheSky.
I almost forgot all about the tools i actually have access to, so i'm a bit reassured now, i almost wanted to stop making AMVs

I think all that's left is getting the anime episodes/movies themself, which can be done via internet or blow out sales/conventions.

And then i wondered...i went to Staples today and saw many products, such as Adobe Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Elements. I was shocked by the price which even breached up to 600$ or more.

So I began to wonder...after compiling the price of all the anime DVDs and the editing software, doesn't the outcome end up quite expensive...?

It's a killer price to pay isn't? Much too expensive for my wallet...
I'll have to settle with finding RAWs or DVD RIPs on the interent...but about how much have you hard-core movie makers spent in these productions?
well you can get adobe programs (any program that retails like over 300 dollars) for much less. Look in the bargain bin or used. Note Premeire Pro 1.0 is NOT much worse than Premeire Pro 1.5. In fact the stupid guides suggest Premiere 6.5 (or 6.0) and they'd be a little cheaper still. I like PPro tons more, it's got Audio editing tools, Premiere doesn't!

Anyway, just like computer hardware. Don't get all googly over all the new stuff. Many times the old stuff is still better.

There's also other options, like that Magix suite or Adobe Photoshop/ Premeire Elemants.

If you HAVE to have the new stuff and you want the expensive packages, if your a student, you can get a discount through your school (or buy it online, nobody checks o.0).

BUT! if your hardcore into amv editing... I'm just saying, you better look into getting a job in the video industry, make them pay for all your supplies (sans anime dvds/ music...)

.. well, I can speed you up a little:

Adobe and Vegas have many specail affects and effects that come as Plug-in's $$$

Magix Pro 12 can not do what Adobe nor Vegas can do on affects ... $ ... 0_o

Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus is another option that is $60.00 but no plug-ins.

For the "Pro" lines of editors ... Magix < Ulead < Vegas < Adobe ... ease of use.

Learning Curves "Pro" line ... Ulead < Vegas < Magix < Adobe ... to make an AMV.

.. note:
I have owned and returned Adobe ( just didn't like it ) & Vegas ( not a "Pro" Line yet. )
8-)
