what sort of media maker did you use? where did you get it from?

methinks cornwiggle meant antsy (going about something in an anxious, paniced manner)
for making amvs, most people around here use Windows Movie Maker, adobe premiere (premiere pro, premiere elements), Maigx movie edit, Sony Vegas or Ulead movie studio

personally, I use premiere pro 1.5

to encode video, many people use virtualdub (or virtualdubmod)...but I've taken a liking to meGUI (once it started to work)

you can usually find stuff like that in an electronics/computer store.
the company websites usually have a section of the site dedicated to online sales.

VirtualDub(/Mod) and meGUI are free (legal free) and should be an easy google

i apreciate the help butmost of what you said there went right over my head lol. Probably wont have time to download anything for a while now though anyway, my school holidays ended this weekend, but all the same im grateful for your help thanks much. The problem where i live is the people in the computer shops have less of an idea what im talking about than i do myself, Its disgraceful really.
Plus i havnt taken any computer classes in school since i was in yr 9, so ive pretty much had to experiment and see how things work, even if i did crash the last computer.Sorry for rattling on
