And to answer your previous request for specifics, I would go for the Trigun mangas (been dying to read those ever since I saw the series last summer, but I can't find English translations and am currently unable to read Japanese. I want to know more of the story, damnit!! ::cries::), the Ayashi no Ceres mangas (Only two thus far. Viz needs to hurry up and get more of them out! Me want!!), the Fushigi Yugi mangas (See my comment on Ceres, and substitute six for two. ^_^), the Saishu Heiki Kanojo mangas (The series looks interesting to me based on ep 1, currently waiting on the other twelve to finish), and the Outlaw Star mangas (out of morbid curiosity to see if the storyline of the mangas is better scripted than the very loose, almost episodic series storyline.).
Series I'd go for is the rest of FLCL (I am getting most impatient for the rest of the series to be released, but I'll probably wait rather than fork out for international shipping, especially when I don't have R2 capabilities, so it's pretty pointless to get R2 DVDs anyway), Saishu Heiki Kanojo (see above), Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door (HURRY UP WITH THAT!! Grrrrr.....), and pretty much any Ghibli film, but specifically Nausicaa, Totoro, and Spirited Away.
