My account was actiong wierd and wouldn't let me leave a comment right now.

That was a nice first video you made. You used a good selection of images in it. One thing i think you should try is to use other transitions too instead of just using the fade for each image.

As long as the pictures (or screencaps) are from anime sources, it shouldn't be a problem. It's been done before, many times. Especially if you count manga AMVs in the mix. Like moonie211 mentioned, many MADs are also similar in content.
