Can a video iPod...?

Yeah, they say not to try it, but I did, and...it comes and goes. I haven't loaded Doom onto it, I have an older ipod that I use it for. But I can play most of the amv's i've downloaded form here on it. But sometimes it freezes, and I have to format it.
