I'll just point out that the reason I don't submit scripts is I think it's more productive for people who know more to spend their time making scripts instead of telling me how much I suck at it.trythil wrote:I'll emphasize, again, the point that anyone can contribute to the thing. If you did something stupid, chances are someone will point it out. That's fine. Don't take it personally and fix it or discuss the point.

Everything can use some improvement, even if it's just slapping a <b>FaeryDust()</b> on it and being done with it. Or <b>UnDot()</b> or <b>TemporalCleaner()</b> or <b>DeGrainMedian()</b> or something similarly unobtrusive.SuperFusion wrote:Hmm... why do you need help with Elfen Lied footage? When I view it in its basic AVS Script, it's fine(I'm referring to DVD ripped stuff)..:SR:. wrote:I also need some help with my 'Elfen Lied' footage, come on..
I'd appreciate any help on this.

My biggest problems with scripting isn't so much using the cleaning filters, it's doing the IVTC. I absolutely hate that part. I'll find something that works really well for one source (like Chrono Crusade), but I try to apply the same tricks to another series (like Eva Platinum) and it screws up, when in theory, it shouldn't. I'm almost in my right mind to just start ordering R2 duplicates for every anime series I have once I get another job.
That's the biggest thing stopping me from submitting more to the Wiki - I just get too frustrated trying to deal with the IVTC and end up trashing the scripts because using a Blur(0, 1) is the last thing I want to do (although it seems to be just about the only thing you can do with some footage).
