Need help with this effect

"start" the fading from clip 3 to clip 1.

There is your answer. Fade the layers in the order that makes you happy.

I dont quite understand what u mean, heres a picture of how my project looks like:



Now you see where i wrote "First" on the third clip and "third" on the first clip? yeh i want that third clip to play "first" then the first clip to play "third". So the clips should start from right to left

i believe if you use a couple more video tracks to put each clip on that would help. that way you have clip1 playing continously, then clip2 on separate track, clip3 on another. then u can work the process backwards, fading out clip3 while the other ones are playing....and so forth. i hope this makes sense for what your trying to do.

Sorry for the delay there. Er... Splif has the gist of it.

Basically you put each clip that you want to have doing an overlapping fade into its own layer. You can fade then in any order that you like then.

Don't be afraid to add as many layers as you need.

ohhh right yeh i got it workin, rofl after i worked it out i was like -_- cant believe i needed to ask how to do this >.< thx alot guyz
