My ideas are unpopular...
Perhaps other perspectives are needed...

Luckily i did not include the fourth suggestions, which was:

4) Members should be allowed to give decimal star ratings

Perhaps I need more time to think about this issue further.

While on the surface this is a good idea, the point of the Star Scale is that it's a fast-and-easy snap judgement rating, and decimal points would only make it more complex...

There are several reasons that your ideas are unpopular.

1) Any artificial limits on the number of videos is a bad idea. There are some quite skilled editors who have lots of videos.

2) Any system that forces opinions to be given will fail. An opinion is something to be given voluntarily, not compelled.

3) Don't try to require a certain length of opinion, either. It's easy to fool stuff like that with junk.
