I've met... one of my friends who has a nice metal band.

I was randomly walking back from campus with my Demons & Wizards shirt on and happened to encounter one of the guys who did some session tracks (probably drums) on Ancient's Mad Grandiose Bloodfiends. I succeeded in not telling him my true and immensely negative opinion on vampire poser black metal, both before and after he mentioned that he'd worked with Kaiaphas et al; we did have some common ground in that Hypocrisy was decided cool, and the new Dissection was much to be looked forward to.

He'd done some radio work, like me, but in slightly bigger markets...so through him I am now two degrees of separation from both Billy Corgan and King Diamond. Rawk.

God I love the 'Degrees of Separation' thing

The funny thing is, as limited as my experience with playing any kind of music is, sources tell me I'm 4 degrees of separation from Fripp/King Crimson

The only real band (group, not just one guy) that i've personaly met, that I could say I liked is saves the day, but they've just nice guys 0o. And I only got to talk to them just before a "gig" for about 5 minutes...

And like all good bands... they play hackie sack : ).
