saddest death i've seen has to be judeu from berserk mainly cause he didn't deserve to die. he worked hard enough to live.

AFAIK, he was just a super human. I'm pretty sure that Knives taught Legato how to use telepathy, I'm pretty sure it's explained in ep 24, before Vash kills him.
