You still haven't enlightened us on this "official" announcement. Maybe because it doesn't exist. There is no such second season. No one has animated it. No one has put money in it. The only thing is the manga. Perhaps they *might* make a 2nd season based on it, but that hasn't been announced (for the millionth time).

I have my doubts that they will though. It's been 4 or 5 years since Berserk was on TV and people have probably forgotten about it. The later you wait, the less possibility of it ever being "announced."

That link doesn't show much, you need to link it directly to the page in which any of the info is on.

Media Blasters? Its only a dubbing company. They cant produce Berserk all by themselves. They would need to use animation studios, and since none of them have made any announcements about pre production, I find it hard to believe. Not only that, but any announcements of a new season of Berserk would be BIG news, and I have yet to seen a thing. And trust me Im always watching for new anime in japan.

i understand its very hard to find news about it now because theres hardly any thing right now that would support to an official release but its very highly possible it will come and yes it was anime studios with media blasters they anounced it at a covnvention in th last month and it was on the news of the site i sent u but it might be gone now thats why i made this post to see if anyone else had any good info better than wat ive already seen

Kakashi: Don't you realize that Media Blasters is the US distributor? They buy the rights from the original Japanese Prodududction group. They then sub and dub it for distro in the states. Even further, how can it be Anime if it's done in the states?

Again, there *is* no news of a second season of berserk..any of us replying would've noticed if there had been. We're all fans.

I did hear a while ago there were some plans regarding a possible second season. But from what I heard, they were far from actually doing anything.

good ... i was getting worried there ... but as for the manga i picked up volume 1 today ... what an interesting way to start the manga off

i think it was just released in north america this month ... or should i say past month.

Again, saying something happened without backing it up won't really prove anything...

I went to the site, and checked all the way back to July, 2003, no mention of a second season at a con or anywhere else for that matter. Then I went to the search option which would list any and all topics related to Berserk -- no second season. Trust me if a low level site like this one got any info about it, then it would be all over the web, unfortunatly there was none. There have been rumors gallore about possible contuations, but not a single mention from any anime company (including Oriental Light and magic, the original animators of Berserk, or any other company). This only points to one possibility:

1. You heard a rumor or a "possible, might if maybe someone mentioned" announcement.

which is like saying that Goku Super Saiyan 5 REALLY exists !!!!!!

Currently the only info I could find on the subject of a "possible" second season was this-

"Regarding the possibility of further episodes of Berserk being created, according to Mr. Sirabella, the company is "willing to put up plenty of money" to finance such a project. However, no further information is available at this time."

This was found on another news site. This was made in September. No mention of any pre-production. Saying only that they were willing to put up money is not enough to say if it would happen or not. Also, it takes quite a bit of funding for a series of any size, and at this point in time I dont see ANY company willing to spend cash on a project that could yield little or no profit. It would be one thing if a second season could be shown on the air, but since Berserk would most likely not be put on tv I doubt that will ever happen. Also, as a fan on the manga I believe that "taming" the series down would lose alot of the value of straight up coolness of the the story line (remembers demonic possessed horse trying to "mount" Farnez, and seeing Gutts say "WHAT THE FUCK!").

With that said, if there were a new installment of Berserk I would be one of the first people jumping for joy, but unfortunatly there has been no such info. I have been keeping quite up to date with Berserk info since right now its my favorite manga (got to love Lord Mozugu's "power praying" *SMACK!!!*).
