That would be a change from DBZ ... tell me when u make one from those cuz i wanna see ... 8)

Don't quite know what you'd be interested in, but I'd suggest FLCL (a little bit of everything, with lots of comedy, by GAiNAX), Fushigi Yuugi (2-season shoujo series with great plot and characters), and Boogiepop Phantom (horror/supernatural, the whole show is like one big puzzle that suddenly starts coming together near the end)...

... there, that's a pretty broad variety of genres right there.
