P.S. I'm getting episodes 2 and 3 soon, and with that I think I'll have enough info to put up a decent review of what the show is like. Cause usaully the first three or four episodes to a series show what kind of anime it's gonna be...

Well, seems I put up something that was inappropriate
. Oh well... I've finally seen the first episode, and I must say it looks to be getting off to a very good start. I've seen some people complaining on other sites, saying that the show is crap and that it doesn't reveal enough in the early episodes, but if they did that, then the series would be spoiled. In this anime fan's opinion, Gungrave lives up to the expectations that I had for it. I feel that Gungrave could quite possibly be the next big hit that comes from Nightow for awhile sense Nightow stated that he's taking a break after Gungrave. And it looks to be a good note to go out on.

I guess I should say something witty here right...? Too bad...

Well, I've seen through episode 3, and I can't say that I'm very impressed at all. Usually at this point in a series, I start to care about at least one of the characters, but character depth and development is so lacking in this show that there's no reason to care about any of them.
Even the action is sub-par. The stuff in the first episode was decent, but after that it all just falls flat. I might give it one more chance with episode 4, but I'm starting to wonder if I should bother.
And Kayne: it might be against the forum rules to tell you explicitly where to get the episodes. Try a google search for "Gungrave fansubs" or something along those lines, and you might get lucky. Wish I could help you more.

Well, I've seen up to episode 4 now. The show seems to be pretty much pulling off a Record of Lodoss War/Beserk thing, where the show starts out in the present, but then cuts to the past, and shows us everything leading up to currently. For fans of the games, they may be upset that it's going to take awhile before the story gets to the plot of the game. But oh well. I'm not complaining. I think Gungrave is one of the better shows to come out in awhile. Also I herd a rumor that Gungrave will have a second season after this that will be based on the second Gungrave game. If thats so, I'm totally going to mark out...
