Let me see: the government pays all of my tuition fees (£1,125 per annum, or US$1,744), and provides me with a £4,000 (US$6,200) student loan per year of study, which I don't have to pay back until I'm ctually working. That covers most of my costs.
I get more than the standard because I'm from a family with lower than average income; the standard is about half of your fees covered by the government and a loan of £3,000 (US$4,650) per annum.
