Oh, the truth is there, it's just that we have sick and demented freaks twisting God's word around for their own personal gain. Read the Bible, that alone is the only Truth you need, whether you decide to follow it or not is entirely up to you.. it seem to me that the one people who should know the word of god are the ones who Don't Know What The Bible Say's. in everyones life, we run across times when we hope that there is a real truth to be found - isn't it sad that the church has no answers anymore!
Where does the church get $55mil?

If i had read this a year and a half ago i'd have problaby have gone into a raging anti-christian rant ... but now i actualy agree with that, to a point. The bible isn't a bad book, it can be quite entertaining at times, and makes for some interesting reading. But, it is also a good book to refer to when your defining your personal ethical code. Though it should never be taken as a scientific document ... it is not, in any way absolutly factual. Great fiction, with a decent meaning behind it, but in no way an literal account of events ... yes, thats right born agains and fundamentalist christians ... its FICTION!TokyoU15 wrote: Oh, the truth is there, it's just that we have sick and demented freaks twisting God's word around for their own personal gain. That is a crude comment to make and many will disagree, inluding me. I really don't want to bother going into a relgious debate about the fact vs fiction bullshit, but lets just say, I disagree ^_^.it is not, in any way absolutly factual. Genesis is not the Begining yet Revilations are the end of man on earth.
The Bible is written in three parts.
But, without the "key to David" you won't know where to begin 8)
am I that mean ? . . no! - hehe
Nowhere does it say to milk thine people, instead it say's learn then go forth.
Nowhere does it say to force people to listen, its say's not to toss pearls as bate to those who will not listen.
Its' not a judgement call to anyone, never has been; never will be:
- "the second we die, you are face to face with God and in that blink of an eye rest's all your lifes goods and bad's . . what will god see on your sole? - who knows!!!" - you know 8)

And when you start turning the stories into literal translations of hierarchies and power, well... Well, you end up with this. [shows off the ruins, and then the Queen Spider, then the Gelgameks]

I've read a good chunk of the Bible, at least enough to understand Christians are manipulative, abusive scumbags that need to be purged! The New Testament wasn't actually written based on the teachings of Jesus, but by the major Roman priest sent to Egypt, to keep all the local religions in control of the Roman Empire. He felt Jesus' teachings of true free will, and the ability for each person to rule their own lives was far too liberal. So, he created his own teachings based on similar concepts the Christians were following, while altering their meanings just enough to have complete dominance over them by the State.Genesis is not the Begining yet Revilations are the end of man on earth.

The college students who've converted are the worst. They all convert for the same reasons: family issues, troubled childhood, dibilitating disease, depression, suicidal tendencies (you know, Shinji and Asuka-type issues). They have committed far more sins, according to their precious book, than I ever will. However, they assume once they convert, they are free from judgement, and have power to tell people like me how to live our lives, because we're "sinners".
No Christian should EVER be trusted, especially in times of emergency (terrorist attacks included). As soon as you trust a Christian, they automatically assume they own you, and try to force you into conversion.
How many times have these parasitic worms been responsible for the deaths of millions? Hitler was a Christian, and in many speeches, and his famous book Mein Kampf, explains God's desire for the Jews to be slaughtered, when the Jews believe exactly the same thing, minus Jesus of course. The KKK were white Christians, who, following the traditions of Christian followers, misused their "moral superiority" to enforce God's will upon the Earth. How did they function with the supposed sprit of God acting through them? Ask the NAACP. Heaven's Gate, the Branch Dividians, Mormons, Catholics, Methodists, and non-denomination Christians are all the same. They assume because they are forgiven by God for their sins (because they took the little pledge, promising they'd believe in Jesus) that they have the power of God to label other men good or evil by what limited understanding of a corrupted book written by politicians they have.
Don't get me started on my solution to the problem, unless you want to hear the rantings of a man whose ideals sound similiar to Stalin, Mao, and Hussein.

Not to defend religion, but Stalin, Mao, and Hussein killed millions of people, too, and they were atheistic/secular. Hitler was not exactly Christian - the Nazis were occultic or atheistic mostly, Hitler included, but he used religious appeal for political purposes.
Any organization with a lot of power can abuse it, religious or secular. It seems to be mostly a right wing thing, but there can be left wing totalitarianism, too.
