ok kids, todays word is inbreed ... can you say that kids? I wouldn't really say taht shinji and asuka were spared ... if every one still existed in the LCL sea that was every wehre becasue no one's AT feild was up then technicaly those people were suppsoed to be in some kind of blissfull state or something because there was no more pain and suffering ... or soem thign like that. then theres shinji and asuka who are left alone with their AT feilds intack ... what the hell am i getting at ... i don;t think they were being punniished for trying to defend humanity ... god danm it ...

yeah the incest part of it is what my friends and I came to. We think that the thought crossed Asuka's mind and hence the "I feel Sick (about what we must do)" line.

But thats reading alot into Asuka and the situation so. . .

ooops also forgot to say that yeah the logics of it aren't really feasible, but i think that EoE was suposed to be a tale, kinda like the biblical Adam and Eve.

I don't want to insult anyone, but the concept that ALL humanity started from 2 people isnt really possible. at least i don't think so.

either way i think its a fable, a fictional sotry.

She was in the hospital because she was mal nurished or what not from being all depressed and running away.

literaly, no theres no way in hell that 2 people could start off a population of 6.3 billion ... that would be jsut way too inbred ... the best or most reasonable explaination for the story of adam and eve was the one my grade 11 religion teacher gave me.

The dirt that god had made adam with was really the existing human population, crude, barbaric and unrefined. Tood took a part of that dirt and made adam with it, made him moral, refined, intelegent and what never else he did. So rather then there being one adam theres a little colony of them ... and the same with eve. well at least that explanation makes more sense then a planet of inbred fucktards (maybe that would explain our current situation)

well the thing is that i have heard that after so many generations all mutations would be bred out.

thats why animals that reproduce incestually like the naked mole rat, are able to continue existance.

maybe, but then again, after we spread out far enough there wouen't be any way for our genes to be circulated all over our range and there would be areas with certain characteristics that aren't expressed on others ... (eg. Asians have almond shaped eyes, North american natives have slow hair growth, northern europeans have a light skin complexion, and so on.) Then these differnt areas could interbreed and start adding some "fresh genes" could be circulated around ..b ut still there would be lots of genetic disorders that would make building up the inital population to spread out very difficult. I still like the whole idea of crude uncivilized man as the dust.

hmm either way, like i said i don't think they intended for asuka and shinji so really repopulate the earth, but more along the lines of archtypical characters

well symbolicly i guess they are the second wave of humanity. But great way to kick it off ... half strangel your mate to death ... i can see the human race going far with such begginings ... but realisticaly your right, there isn't any real chance that they'd be sued to repopulate the eiarth. maybe more peopel who are in LCL form would regain their AT feidls and join Asuka and Shinji in their effort to repopulate earth.
