It seems these might be something like an airsoft gun .. im seeing names like TOkyo Maui and a few reference to gas and electric mechanisms ... like youd see in a modern airsoft replica... but i dont have any asian language packs, or am able to read what is displayed .. so its sort of a hunch.
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.

Assuming someone did want to own something like one of these weapons, here are some options for all of us loud-and-proud Americans:
1. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/9wepon/9we ... l">This</a> could be best duplicated with a Chinese AK-47 (Norinco, mainly) and one of the many aftermarket bullpup kits. Or an <a href="http://www.isayeret.com/weapons/assault ... 2.jpg">IMI Tavor</a>, but I don't think any of those have been imported into the US. Israeli Military Industries may be making semi-auto versions for export, though. Bullpup AKs fire 7.62x39 ammo. The Tavor fires .223 ammo.
2. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/right/righ_1.html">This</a> could be best copied by the Techno Arms <a href="http://www.oruzje.co.yu/puske/techno_ar ... l.jpg">MAG 7</a> shotgun. The MAG 7 fire 12 gauge mini-shotgun shells.
3. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/seburo-c25 ... l">This</a> most closely resembles the <a href="http://www.oruzje.co.yu/puske/sturm_rug ... jpg">Ruger MP-9</a> machine pistol, which fires 9x19 ammo.
4. Although a stretch, the <a href="http://www.nill-griffe.com/Media/combat ... if">Mauser C96</a> pistol resembles <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/gong/gong_1.html">this</a> most closely. The C96 was also the basis for Han Solo's blaster in "Star Wars". The C96 fires the uncommon 7.63 Mauser caliber, although there are 9mm and .45 ACP versions built by other countries.
5. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/seburo-b/b ... l">This</a> strongly resembles the <a href="http://www.impactsites2000.com/site3/im ... if">Taurus PT945</a> pistol. The PT945 fires .45 ACP ammo.
6. The <a href="http://www.gurpsmaster.de/hk69gl.jpg">HK 69</a> grenade launcher most closely resembles <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/seburo-j9/ ... l">this</a>. The HK 69 fires 40mm explosive grenades, and requires a really hard to get permit form the ATF, so good luck ever owning one

7. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/vash_a/vash_1.html">Vash's gun</a> looks like a cross between a <A href="http://www.colt.com/colt/assets/images/ ... a.gif">.44 Magnum Colt Anaconda</a> and the <a href="http://www.cimarron-firearms.com/images ... .jpg">Colt 1861 Navy revolver</a>, which is a blackpowder arm and fires .44 caliber black powder type ammo.
8. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/etogun/eto_1.html">This</a> looks most like a typical <a href="http://www.iar-arms.com/images3/double- ... rringer</a> pistol, although a derringer doesn't have the weird ball, of course. Derringers fire ammo ranging from .22 calibers to .45 Long Colt.
9. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/cannon/c5_1.html">This</a> most closely resembles a <a href="http://www.sdmfabricating.com/Photo_Gal ... PG">Coonan .357</a>, which fires .357 Magnum ammunition.
10. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/jackal/j_1.html">Arucard's Jackal</a> is a lot like the <a href="http://members.cox.net/dlong41/guns/desert1s.gif">.50 AE Desert Eagle</a>. The Desert Eagle essentially fires 12mm ammunition, as opposed to the Jackal's (non existent) 13mm, so the comparison becomes even more so. Desert Eagles fire .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .50 Action Express ammunition.
11. <a href="http://www.poseidon.co.jp/5F/gobrin/gob_1.html">This</a>, as the site says, is essentially a modified airsoft <a href="http://remtek.com/arms/glock/model/9/26/26.gif">Glock 26</a> pistol. The Glock 26 fires 9x19mm ammunition.
And that's a wrap.
Near as I can tell, many of these have airsoft mechanisms built in, or can have one installed easily.FATTY_VM wrote:It seems these might be something like an airsoft gun .. im seeing names like TOkyo Maui and a few reference to gas and electric mechanisms ... like youd see in a modern airsoft replica... but i dont have any asian language packs, or am able to read what is displayed .. so its sort of a hunch.

fantasy weapons bother me. They look cool, but are totaly impracticle as actual weapons. I mean have you ever seen some of the weird ass fantasy swords i've seen? they're bloody ugly things with these big curvy spikes sticking out all over the place, all that is, is something to break and get lodged in the target, causing sloppy kills. I like some of the more practicle things i've seen, particularly my friends katana, or some of the smaller broad swords i've seen. But when it comes to guns, thats a whole different story. Looks to have some srt of impact in what i like and don't like. Example, i love dessert eagles, but i hate the 11" and 14" barrels on them ... they look so much better with just the 6" barrels. But i'm still a functionalist, if it has no purpose then it's jsut dead weight and should be cast off, unless you just plan on displaying that thing.gadoo wrote:ah.....and as for me...I'm aaalll for looks...especially fantasy
oh ... and serations piss me off, if i wanted a serated blade i'd buy a saw ...
