Nu-Metal'S death

I admit that I like some numetal bands like System of a Down and Mudvayne, but the majority of the bands are horrible!
Do you ever notice that none of these bands (well, most of them) don't last more than a couple months (if they're lucky) in the limelight?
I mean, look at bands like Flaw and Mushroomhead. They just dissappeared!

You're right, numetal is pop music....just sorta in disguise. It has the same amount of shelf life as "flavor of the week" pop music, if not shorter.

Just how many bands can there be with funky face makeup/masks, growling singers, heavy power chords, double-bass drummers, and virtually no bass player?

Psh. To me, all your music so far is whiney pussy bullshit. You say you don't like NuMetal, then you turn around and say shit like Mudvayne and SOAD are good. Fact is, they ALL suck. And the Napalm Death comment. Last I checked, a lot of death metal bands are picking up on the melodic thing, much like Cradle did to black metal (and look how popular (and shitty) they are now!).
Soon you will have NuMetal based on what type of shit it is trying to be but can't!

Nu Metal isnt dying. Nowhere near it. It is just expanding to the point that you can't pick up on it anymore. Trust me, I could make a list form here to kingdom come of Nu Metal bands you would have NEVER expected!!! And YOU all think they are hardcore!!!

actually mushroom head has far from disappeared right now they're in the studio, i saw em at ozzfest and i have to admit for nu metal they're not bad

and what the hell is soulfly doing in that picture they are far from nu metal....i mean come on they have no rap beats and for that particular style they have it's due to max being in sepultura for like 10 years, and the band is brazillian

soulfy is not any kind of nu bullshit....when a band starts way before a new movement, ie soulFly, they cannot be catagorized into a big pile of useless bands...a member of one of the most respected METAL bands(sepultura) which started in the mid 80's, and still remains true to the original sound of real metal, there are no rap-esque type of anything alive in soulFly, they remain true to metal, and there is no way in hell that a TRUE metal fan can let any of you soil their name by classifying then as"NU"

Max is just a bitch that shouldve stayed in Sepultura, but then they sound like shit now too.
