New At Amv Making

I just started making amv 's...I have not made anything worth mentioning....yet.I have Vegas 7 platinum,Virtualdubmod.What other software do I need,In your opinion ? Also I need a capture driver for avi..In use with virtualdubmod.could you recomend one please. :roll:
