A Youtube/MySpace for music?
This past weekend I learned about this site, http://www.imeem.com. I don't know if anyone mention it here before. Anyways, it's like a Youtube for music. You can upload, stream, create playlists, customize you profile page, but you can't download. Every genre you wan't, any artist you want; new bands and artists can share their music; and if what you want isn't there, you can upload yourself. I was thinking about starting a thread in music section, but I wanted to see if it was ok with the mods before hand.

All of the videos that I've come across there, which weren't that many, are just official videos from the given atrist(s). Anyway, would posting this site violate any Org rules?

I don't see how linking to any one off-site streaming site would be any more or any less against any rules in place than any other.megaman917 wrote:Anyway, would posting this site violate any Org rules?

i have nothing against an informational topic about the site in gen music, or if you have any suggested uses, like sharing playlists or authorized media sharing. amvs, lamvs, and unauthorized copyrighted music shouldn't be posted there, as it violates their terms of use.
btw, the org has a small audioscrobbler group to share playlists:
