Music matching Higurashi

For the anime i'm going to use for my next AMV i chose Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (horror/mystery series with some pretty insane bits, for those who havent seen it yet). I have some problems with music sellection so i decided to ask here for suggestions. Since i'm going for a serious theme i'm looking for a dark, not too fast song with some buildup. Think "Spiders" by System of a Down but also music made by Tool. If the band is lesser-known that is no problem. Thanks in advance!

for a serious, dark moody, build-up and not so fast song... i think Dir en grey - dead tree fits the category. hope this helps..

Thanks! Not bad, musically its what im looking for but very difficult for any kind of lyrical synch. Maybe something more american/english/german for this.
