Help with FTP and Firefox

Post by lostheaven103 » Thu Mar 01, 2007 4:57 pm

I don't actually have a question so much as I just thought this information might be useful. I'd gotten the information (username, password, server, etc) to upload my video through ftp, but then when I tried the link, even after downloading filezilla and all, it wasn't working. Now, when I use the internet, I always use Firefox, and it seems that for some reason Firefox and ftp don't work, so I opened Internet Explorer and it works fine. Just thought I'd put that out there, in case anyone else tries to use ftp in Firefox and is running into problems. ^^

Uh, did you try using Filezilla to do the file transfer?

I wasn't aware that Mozilla was supposed to be used for FTP in the first place.

Well, hey, I didn't know that it *wasn't* until I tried, y'know. I'm not a Mozilla expert or anything ^^ anyway, if Mozilla's not for file transfers and someone doesn't know that and they try to use it, then they'd run into problems, kinda like I did is all

Try this out: FireFTP.
You'll need the latest Firefox (v2.0.0.2).
