If you can, try and rip it with a different DVD drive or computer. If that doesn't work, then it's probably a faulty DVD and you might want to try borrowing another copy to try and rip. Some DVDs can play OK in a player but have microscopic errors or defects that may trip up a computer's DVD drive. And some DVDs look fine to the naked eye, but can't play at all (like my Excel Saga DVDs
