Just to be clear on this, you do know that none of us has the legal right to use anime footage in a video right? So even if we have your permission to use the song it still wouldn't be possible to use the resulting video in any sort of commercial way. Even posting it to your website instead of on the org might become an issue if it looked like it was for promoting your music sales.

Provided the above isn't a problem for you I got an idea that might work. I'll pm you about it.

With apologies to the horse, our justice system in the U.S. allows for the legality of the issue to be brushed aside. Guilty or not, fair use or not, if someone with enough money to have lawyers on retainer decides they don't like you, you're pretty much fucked. Legal fees are a bitch.

Oh, I'm not looking to make any money out of doing an AMV project. For me it's more of practice and the opportunity to work with others. Also, if it gives people a chance to hear my music...that's a bonus. My job, so to speak, relies more on audio engineering and recording others. Writing and recording my own music is done more out of love and anything that comes out of it is gravy.

ZephyrStar, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. Feel free to contact me via e-mail if you'd like (shaggy@zoiks.org).

Just remember that what's up there isn't a complete representation of the kind of music I can do. :) It's just more of what I've been doing lately. I guess another reason why I decided to work with a video editor is that I tend to get inspired by visuals when writing music. I always write different depending on what the inspiration was.
