Would it be possible to get a link to allow us to view all opinions on a video, without having to op it yourself?

Umm.... I think OP is for AMV Creator right? and as I understand of it they will receive opinion *privately* to other creator who watch their work. And beside why you want to see others opinion what other gave to AMV creator... o.0?

Also as I known receiving opinion to other is *privately matter* to who made the AMV and who is watching it also giving the opinion to other "musn't touch it by anyone" who like just to see it.

Hmmmm, you do bring up a good point and this does bring up the recurring dilemma: How do you really figure out if the video you are about to download is actually going to be worth the trouble of downloading?

The original argument for not having all opinions for public display was that the opinions of others could negatively influence your own opinion before you had the opportunity to view and form your own opinion of the video. I believe the phrase someone said for this was "poisoning the well" (a literary term, I guess).

The answer that surfaced a while back was "in addition to the song and anime, just show the opinion averages and people should be able to tell from that; the more people who watch it and give their opinion, the more the average will be true".

The drawback that has come up more recently to this thinking is that people tend to only give opinions of videos they liked. If people only give opinions on videos they like, the opinions average will always be high, which is what is happening.

There are several things that we can do to remedy this situation:

One is to give opinions on videos that you didn't like. It seems that most people are hesitant to do this simply because they don't know the best way to break the bad new and they don't want to be mean or spend that much time on something they don't like anyways.

One thing that you just brought up was to make the list of people who have given their opinion on the video available. This way you can say, "hey, so-and-so has left their opinion on this vid and the average is good, therefore it could actually be a good video".

Another thing that can be done is make it so that the video creator can pick a limited number of opinions for public display. Of course the creator is going to pick some that show the video in the best light possible, but you as the reader should be able to tell the ones that have thoughtful comments verses the ones that are just "THIS VID ROKZ!!"

The last thing (that I can think of right now) is the "suggestion query" that I am working on. The suggestion query would take the videos you have given your opinion on and compare the scores with the scores of every one else. The query would pull a trend line with all other videos that you have not given your opinion on and return a list of vids that you are likely to find good.
