I didn't see a general help place so I hope this is place it should be but, I don't have a ftp site and it won't let me like get my own or whatever can you reply asap on like a "walkthrough" on bein able to get to it or maybe explain why or somethin. The program I'm usin is a 30 day trial on cuteftp. if that helps thanks

So what you want is:

-a host for misc. file
-an ftp client

?

For the host, if you're planning on uploading amvs, the Org can host it. If you are looking for some other hosting, try webhostingtalk.com.

For an ftp client, if you use the Firefox browser, you can find and install a free ftp extension such as FireFTP.

you could also get filezilla.
filezilla is free
free forever
no cost to you (minus the internet, electricity and computer...just don't go off listing opportunity costs like an economist)

but how do you get such awesome and aboslute ftp power?

maybe, i am outta touch on things, but getting a domain and hosting isnt too terribly expensive? i kinda decided to host my amv on, a domain i had only because i wasn't sure if a-m-v.org would host it. perhaps you know people who will host the file for you? i am iffy about hosting files for people i dont know. :\

if the video is at least 51% anime, does not have too much hentai, doesn't have too much gory violence and is under 100MB, the org will host it. But for the last two restrictions you can still talk to the admins for special permission.
