And if they taste as bad as American Idol sounds the poptart will cause death by horrid sickness. I'd rather vomit up my bones than listen to Clay Aiken.

So what if for every 1 honest member 3 are dishonest. It has been that way before computers.

It was called tape dubbing.

Before that security devices were not present and it was called record theft.

I think the use and misuse of digital media are over estimated.

The only real change is that the industry now greedily spys a new way to control the distribution of goods. So much so that they may injure the honest to defeat the dishonest.

(This leaves them with few customers left. But it would be too late when they figure that out.) Would you not say so?

i heard that in one country the music industry gets a cut of blank CDs and DVDs profits or such... shame something similar cant be put through here...
(probably could but yea :/ i donno blah)
granted it would raise the cost of blank media containers, but it would give a huge shut it, to the companies that raise a fuss :/ cause then they would make up for all the "huge" losses they take from people who rip off media from the internet or whatever :P
I'm of the 'try before you buy' school of consumers who only use amvs and digisubs for just that...
me too. :P

how does this relate to the topic at hand?
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

We have a system like that here, but the music industry definitely hasn't stopped complaining. Maybe it's because nowadays most everyone is importing their media from countries where there is no such levy. :P

I been there before. It was strange. It like read my laptop or something.

Anyways if it happens, I'm pretty sure people will find ways around it, like what they did with cable and all that other good stuff. Otherwise I'm mistaken from my ignorance on how cable is like apples and teh internetz is like oranges on how they're gonna charge and all that other stuff.
