No, I did read it, and I still think that there is no difference between Godix's 'joke' and regular amvs when giving out all tens. We gave out all tens to 'pimp' the video, right? Especially to the top % list. and if people give all tens to themselves, then it's doing the same thing. You just can't always look at it as being such a bad thing....I mean it's not like everyone in the amv world is out to destroy top scores. one opinion to themselves won't matter. even on the 'most underrated' list, it says that giving yourself an opinion won't hurt.Cornwiggle wrote:Go back and read my first post.kikai_saigono wrote:well, cornwiggle, you did give all 10's for DTSEM, right? I have given myself an opinion to my first FMA vid by accident but it wasn't all 10s.Afterwards,I tried to explain why the scores.Anyway, the vid got a good feedback afterwards so I'm not happy of doing it,even by mistake. If possible,I'd like to delete it but...
Anyway, making the top 10% is something that most of us,the non-gifted video creators desire, but what the fuck?
Is it really worth talking to your friends and convincing them to download your vids and leave opinions just to improve your ratings and catch a position?
Personally,I hate making my friends giving ops to my vids.Ok,they have seen them but neither one has ever left an opinion and it's better that way. It's cheating yourself and it's pointless.
And what's more,I hate even more doing exchange ops, although I have done it with two persons and later regretted it dearly because I'm just too lazy to give back ops and I'm doing it half-hearted...

There's nothing wrong with asking your friends to OP your stuff. Usually your friends will want to anyway, if they are good enough.
And you said before that you wanted more OPs, hate to say...but there's not really much you can do other than OP exchanges or friends...random OPs that appear out of nowhere are hard to come by.

Someone won a contest I ran a long while ago and her reward was 20 ops from me. Well they actually came from other people. I even told the people I don't care that much what they give the video because I didn't make it and I'm only giving it to the person because she won some ops from me. I think this is the best way to avoid unbiased reviews. When your exchanging ops by giving your op to someone if they give you an op this brings out biased results, same thing goes when you get a friend to op a video of yours.Cornwiggle wrote:Full Metal Sempai wrote: Personally,I hate making my friends giving ops to my vids.Ok,they have seen them but neither one has ever left an opinion and it's better that way. It's cheating yourself and it's pointless.

So that video easily had more honest ops than probably most videos because peoples objectives to ops a lot of time is based on some fanboy beliefs that causes the video to get over rated or under rated. You want to be more precise.. get a professional review, not a professional though that is part of a ritual circle jerk like the ones that go around these forums.. Also what matters to me a lot is opinions that come from someone that watches a video not because they love or hate the anime, they get some whacked out opinions, what might be nicer is someone in the middle who is open minded to music, anime they don't know much about and are not overly optimistic or pessimistic.

It's not that hard to make the top 10% lists. It's actually a lot easier than I original thought it would be. Now staying on the top 10% lists, that's a trick I haven't mastered yet.Full Metal Sempai wrote:Anyway, making the top 10% is something that most of us,the non-gifted video creators desire, but what the fuck?
I am not, nor have I ever been, a god damned Aussie. I come from a country that does not start killing and cutting off the tails of animals just because their biggest (read as 'only') star died. Granted, in the US there's a decent chance the famous person died in a shooting rampage but hey, that's totally different.Prodigi wrote:I'm smarter than that. I use a seperate account : \

Yeah cause it sucks getting those unbiased reviews.x_rex30 wrote: I think this is the best way to avoid unbiased reviews.
Sorry, I'm the last person that should make fun of someone mistyping but I found that one rather funny in context.

No edit button but I'm sure y'all could tell what I meant. I sure fucked that one up. Oh well, that mistyping does counter my argument though. Anyone with bad grammar or obvious mistypes must be wrong, well at least from my experience on the internet. Someone tries to make a point, people get offended and instead of attacking the context of all that was written, they attack his grammar instead to make it seem like he/she's wrong. lol internets. That is off topic from what you tried to do but thanks for pointing out that mistake.
