Seeking Quality Ranma 1/2 footage

Post by Commodore_Artemis » Wed Sep 20, 2006 3:40 pm

Am I the first to think of a Ryoga Hibiki tribute using Fort Minor's "Slip Out the Back"?

Thinking of making this concept my debut video, just one problem...

I have absolutely NO IDEA where to find quality footage of Ranma 1/2. Any ideas?

The DVDs tend to have DVD quality footage.

Shoulda known someone would give me the most glaringly obvious answer...

Actually, I meant something more along the lines of bit torrents. Free footage. I'm rather short on cash.

Pay close attention to the part where it says you will be banned without warning for such posts. And fear...

Ranma is one case where I would happily spend exorbitant amounts of cash to get the R2s, judging from A) my own experience with the R1 release with all of its nasty blending (as shown in the AVTech guides) and B) the 'remastered from a new telecine' marker on the discs listed on CDJapan. It's just a matter of actually having the cash to do it.

Not always. :?

Of course, if the DVDs are shitty quality the torrent releases of the rips are going to be worse 99.999999999% of the time (that other small remaining percent is the pirates who actually know how to filter and/or use the R2 DVDs). =p

None the less, rules, ect.

Well, the smart encoders know to not have their stuff out in the public and operate in private invite-only communities with background checks and whatnot. They're smart enough to safeguard themselves.
