life also becomes a technical problem
make sure to keep your life at bay when making an amv...or the project that you wanted done in 2-3weeks won't get finished for over a year

Make more project save files then just 1. Out of the odd occurance of a project file getting corrupted, it's nice to be able to atleast come back to another save point with stuff you have allready done on the timeline. Basically just back up your project files. They get corrupted some times. They have on me before and i fully regret not doing this.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

While you do want a high-quality export, there's no reason to go uncompressed when there are perfectly good lossless codecs such as <b>HuffYUV</b> and <b>Lagarith</b> available. Check out <a href="/guides/avtech/">this guide</a>'s section on Premiere exporting for more advice.

It could also be that there's stuff on your timeline before or after where your actual video is, and you have it set to export the entire timeline instead of just the work area.
thankx... iam gonna look it up right now!! but i doubt it if i'll be able to figure it out.. because i looked through the whole adobe premiere software tutorial guide and i couldnt find the compressing details.. but iam going to give ur link a look
thanx again

getting about 70% done and realizing that I don't really care at all about the video, or relizing that the idea that played in my head will require a thousand dollars of new software to create.

In the last 3 weeks alone i've had to deal with moving (back to school), running out of HDD space (my clips and images are taking up 70GB already, and my external was filled with many things that are just short of a DVD's length to burn), AE telling me I don't have enough RAM to do what I want to do (and the subsequent 2 sticks of RAM that have been DOA), loosing my NLE (though I can probably find it soon), and my roomate just got me to try crack (WoW).

Goin' out with mah homies...
Ditto the wife...

Battlefield 2
Counter-Strike [not Source bs]
Dark Messiah Single Player Demo

As far as what happens during editing [instead of what stops you from doing it] usually when you're exporting and it freezes, for a LOOONG time, then picks up for some random reason... But all my export problems have pretty much disappeared since I upgraded to my Holy Powerhouse of a computer...

btw, Dual-Core computers LOVE Premiere and I've practically cut my export times as well as any possible 'freezes' that it used to cause...

and yes, editing GOOD hq amvs is an expensive hobby, money becomes an issue early on I think...

tell me about it

well. getting dvd source instead of fansubs .. feel like cheating sometimes. I've turned into a anime dvd collector with influence of this hobby.. also because of damn things going out of print. I got devilman I think it was a year ago for around 20 dollars.. now everywhere I look I see it being sold for over 100 dollars.
