Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won

For those of you who like me were born after Led Zeppelin closed down shop or just didn't appreciate them enough at the time to see them perform live, How the West Was Won might help fill that gap in your heart a little. The album is three disks of concerts in performed in the LA Forum and Long Beach in the summer of 1972. That timing puts the concerts between IV and Houses of the Holy as a result the concerts have a few songs from the yet to be released album, like Over the Hills and Far Away, (My favourite song of all time  Lucky me!) Dancing Days and the Ocean. Other Led Zeppelin stalwarts like Stairway to Heaven, What is and What Should Never Be, Immigrant Song and Rock and Roll appear through out. The real gems on the other hand are the 23 minute rendition of Whole Lotta Love with other songs spiced through out, Dazed and Confused clocking in over 25 minutes with the crunge and Walter's Walk played durning the extensive solo and lastly the 19 minute rendition of Moby Dick with John Bonham really strutting his stuff. If you are a big Led Zeppelin fan or simply a rock enthousiast who wants to hear some awesome rock performed live check it out.
