White Rain Amateur AMV Contest Results!! (August '06)

Hey everyone! I know it's a tad late, but here are the winners for the first ever: White Rain Amateur AMV contest for August '06!!

The catagories were as following:
Action
Drama
Serious
Romance
Sentimental (I decided to split these two up, since some entries stated one and not the other)
Comedy

Now a big thing about this was we didn't care much on quality, since alot of "undiscovered" AMV talent uses programs like Windows Movie Maker, or uploads them to the infamous You/Tube, so as you'll notice some of the videos aren't in perfect quality. Depending on the amount of entries in each cataogry more winners came out (Serious had two entries, while Action had over 21) so there are more Action winners.

A big thing we looked for in this contest no matter what catagoryis was- was a PLOT, or well shown THEME. An example would be in the Comedy catagory; if you just used every funny scene from an anime that was with a funny song. It may be funny, but it doesn't have much of story or concept- in other words it HAD to match the lyrics just like any other video as best as possible. So that's one of the big things we looked for.

That's it! All the Winners!! People's choice was left out this month because of difficulties on how to handle it. Hopfully we'll have it in the next one!! Sorry for the delay in results!! No point in upsetting the winners just because you don't agree Thank you for all the participants, and I will be working on a webpage to host links to ALL the contestants of the contest.

lol I was just expecting the action result, the effects and judge´s fav was a surprise for me, well now I have the results of all the 3 contest that I entered at the same time (one was this XD) and I must say that I´m very happy with all of this ^^.

Awwww....damn it....didnt get crap :'( took me ages to make mine...its the story thing neva bother putting stories in my amvs....whenever the next one is im definatly entering for it lol disappointed but well done to winners...:'(

Yeah,...I'll probably enter again if I have an idea handy. As far as the "story" angle goes, the song I used was in 21 parts, so the video was also. I guess you have to know FMA up to episode 37 to understand all of the parts as individual stories...
