So restricted access on an obscure website, to host long lost AMVs.

Well, there's a good way to make sure long lost AMVs stay lost.

Here's a plan, we put the shit on the org, with the admins working on proxy accounts like we did before.

We open a forum for proxy submissions where you say what video you've located and which lost creator made it, and they'll be given a way to upload the file and it'll be managed in a responsible way.

OR, we can trust the guy who started a thread about how to work on graphics for AMVs who was shot down by various users for being an idiot, and can't even get the aspect ratio right in his own videos, then justifying that converting 16:9 to 4:3 and screwing up the AR 'still looks good enough'.

Kill Sephiroth (I, II) uses Advent Children as source. The film is 16:9. You put it online at 4:3 so the aspect ratio is off.

technoical skill? funny. that video you mentioned won best technical editing at metrocon this year.
im trying to contribute to the amv community. if you don't like my method, thats fine. you don't have to download them. or try to start a flame war.

moving on, im uploading 2 videos right now. both are zippped. i have a few others that aren't on the org, but none i would really call "classics".
so from my own personal collection, i think i only have 2 for now that i can put up.

This thread is about how your idea is stupid and we can just return to proxy accounts which have been used before.

All we really need is a person dedicated to managing the proxy accounts, since they obviously can't be trusted as open access, for fear vandilism.
