I think this is another one of those mistaking AMVs for the .amv file format... Just to clarify, this site is for "anime music videos" not an information site for the .amv format.

Although it is perfectly logical that he has a player that plays only the .amv format. I have a friend that has one.BasharOfTheAges wrote:I think this is another one of those mistaking AMVs for the .amv file format... What player is it? Name and model if possible.

.amv is a format very popular with the Chinese. Now I will point out that the OP asked for movie downloads, and she/he/ze should be reminded that no such question should be asked.
On the flip side, the OP also asked for short clips, which could be construed as a general question about where to find any videos which could be watched on the .amv player. In that case, the OP is in luck, as all of our AMVs can probably be converted and watched.
Still, this is very much a General Video topic.

On the file extensions information site, animemusicvideos.org is listed.BasharOfTheAges wrote:I think this is another one of those mistaking AMVs for the .amv file format... Just to clarify, this site is for "anime music videos" not an information site for the .amv format.

I'll bet that's why we keep getting people asking about it.
it's a weird ass format, very tiny and uses something called mp4, which has nothing at all to do with what we like to think of as mp4. There should be a wikipedia entry on it, if I recall.
