It's very Excel Saga like, except... well, it starts off normally enough but there are random spurts of over-the-top/exagerated moments that are meant to be funny but I found at least in the first episode to have made me cringe. It's not on a funny gear like Excel or Azumanga all the time. It tries for a normal enough plot line, but as I said, when it does go into "funny" gear, it's sometimes too jarring to see the antics and such.

That's cause you're comparing it to Excel and the like.

It's odd, but since Love Hina, it's more of a rarity to see Looney Toons and Tom & Jerry style violence humor in anime where things like flying punches and bodies careening through the air along with some inhumane things like fighting with BullDogs with mouths big enough to swallow your skull whole and moms who pull a lot more than child abuse on their daughters and

MEN WHO SAY: "NYA"

and grocers who try to act like Kyon and well...

There's just a LOT here that can't really be said "yeah, seen before, done that, blah*"

If there is, show me an anime, aside from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, where they parody the MGM Lion [using a VERY SCARY miki] effectively...?

Fitting for this crazy anime.

Up to ep 9 now, talk about c00ky. Never heard of this animation studio but I think they should do more silly shtuff. And everyone's Evil Grin in this anime should be avatar'ed and Trademarked...
