CNAE AMV Contest 2006

Post by Moonlight Soldier » Mon Jul 24, 2006 4:52 pm

Given the lame-i-tude of last year's contest it is with a sigh that I remind people of the contest this year.

Whatever, it's a local con. I don't expect to get much out of it. But, I'm going to entre again this year. I won't be there since they moved the convention back a week, but Canadian editors represent yo! [and anyone else who wants to.]

It's mail in submissions that have to be in buddy's hands by August 8th.

yup My best in show hasn't showed up either.

My sister is a manager of a Comic/ Anime store and Hobbystar had a small one day con about a month ago, I got my sister to inquire the man who ran the contests about our prizes and his response was

"I wasn't aware they were supposed to recieve any prizes"

*grips head in pain*

Man CN screws over the anime fans so hard. SO HARD.

I've missed the date to send a video by regular mail, so i'm not going to bother.

Even after all the technical problems during last years show I was completely intent on continuing to enter the con again. But during the several emails I had with the co-ordinator after the con I'm just refuse to submit any amv's on principle alone.

I can understand that it's exteremely difficult to run a con and so many unexpected problems can arise but not when they make it so obvious that they don't care either way.

The funny thing is... they own an Anime store. Look at all those Gundamns they can give out as prizes... goddamn, cheap bastards!!!

And yeah, I'm also not entering their crappy amv contest, nor am i attending. But i will be hitting CNE that same weekend 8-)
