How come the AMV's download slow, is there a faster way?

Hey, the downloads of AMV's on my comp are totally slow. Any suggestions! I want to see people's vids!!! :cry:

a better comp? more ram?? sumthin better internet connection if you use dial up get cable or dsl or sumthin

Perhaps if we had information about your computer, specifically the type of Internet connection.

Outside of that, try downloading during off-peak hours.

Ahh...well I do have dial up is that why it's so freaking slow...oh my :(

I'm no techie, but what does more ram have to do with internet speed? Maybe if you read it as the AMV isn't showing up properly cuz if you have too little ram it can cause your videos to studder. But I think the only hardware sollution to slow internet speeds is to get either broadband or if you already got it, a faster service.

It is possible (though not in this case) for someone to have a computer that is so old and out of proper spec to utilize an internet connection properly, but HDD speed and Processing speed would be more of a limiting factor than RAM. Although i'd imagine you could lack enough RAM to have your browser fail to allow proper connection ot the content you want to download in the first place.
