roto VS mask VS chroma

I was just wonderin what you people perfer: Rotoscoping, Making or Chroma keying? I know chroma is the easiest but it always leaves weird marks and stuff ....take ur side and defend it! FIGHT! (i think maskin's gona win)

It obviously really depends on what kind of source you're using and what sort of effect you're going after. My personal preference in all cases is rotoscoping, just because you can acheive that precision consistantly. But if you can get by with simple masking or chroma keys, by all means, if it looks good, save yourself some time.

U guys suck! I made this thread so a winner could be determined and only like 3 of u actully have one that you perfer!? I will not accept a 3 way tie! Pick a side, there must be one u perfer in general. Each can be used to creat a different effect, true, but u have to like one more then the other. And sorry for leaving out cookie cutters. It's now:

in vegas there is an "effect" called cookie cutters.. I'm lazy, thats what i perfer...

and most of the people are right, it depends on what youre trying to do on what effect you should use
