The Manga music video

Post by x_rex30 » Thu Apr 06, 2006 5:55 pm

Has anyone been influenced into amving through this video..? The official Manga trailer.. it's changed up a few times but this is the one that really got me more interested in AMVing..

or anything similar like the Do It Now ADV videos.. people tell you not to make just some random video but that's a lot like what these professionally done ones are.. I know they are trying to show off the anime and show it in sequential order.. but this is the sort of way I wanted to make one of my videos but it seems like this site detests it.

Has anyone been influenced into amving through a videos like the "do it now" ADV trailers, manga music videos(they have a lot but I thought all of them sucked except this one) or something like that, that isn't from fanmade based music videos you find on the web? Should of made that more clear.

I think I've been interested in editing for a long time.. when I was really young I liked making my own mix of music videos from MTV on my VHS tapes.. I had a lot of influences before I started watching fan made music videos.. anyone else have any influences before hand.. particularly anime based advertisement like trailers? I've seen quite a few anime trailers that just play music and have scenes from some anime synching to it while other times it doesn't seem like much effort has been put into it. But a lot of media like that has made me want to make music videos.. and specifly.. and maybe it was even the thing that mainly got into editing.. the manga music video was very influential.

He's asking if anyone has watched the promotional trailers that companies like ADV, Manga Entertainment, etc. puts on their DVDs at the beginning or in the disc somewhere and got inspiration or motivated to make AMVs from seeing it. Either inspired to make AMVs similar to it or just to make AMVs in general?

Does the Animetronic AMV count ("Risky Cut") ?

I was going to give a link, but it seems the domain name expired 10 days ago. The vid is an extra on the Sol Bianca the Legacy DVDs.
