I have this song I'm using for an AMV, but I don't know who did it. It's called "The Tempest" and it's a very techno-y song. It's about 5 minutes long. Anyone know?

does it have any lyrics or is it just very patterned random noises?

if it has lyrics you can try to find the song by putting some of the lyrics into google and see what comes up.

No, no lyrics. It doesn't seem to be ANT, either - listened to a sample and it doesn't sound the same.

This one? If not, then I'll throw my hands up in defeat and leave the Googling to you. It's not a unique title, and you'd have a better idea of other search terms to use than I would.

Nope, not that one either.

I'll keep looking, but... any suggestions on what to do if I can't find out?

Try a larger message board, or one devoted to music. Something Awful might or might not require registration to post, and the Straight Dope Message Board isn't free either but at least gives you a trial period (personally, I think the search function alone is worth the subscription). It would be a good idea to give a little more info than you gave here though-- at the very least you might get links to some useful sites.
