The perfect example, btw, would be orchestrated symphonies, sonatas, or concertos. How they progress and escalate through several different movements -- No words, just raw musical talent.

I think shpongles knows that. I think he/she is just trying to point out instrumentals besides vocals can be very expressionistic alone.. Just watch Requiem for a Dream.. the music in there expresses a lot of emotion but there isn't any vocals used in it.

Of course instrumental pieces can express emotion, but there are words in songs for a reason. If there is conviction and emotion in the delivery of the singer a song with great lyrics is a thousand times more powerful than any instrumental. I'm sure some instrumental pieces have the power to bring some people to tears, but there are far more songs out there that express their emotion through both lyrics and music.

What?

How many times do I have to say. Music is the art of sound not the art of lyrics. Some of the most emotional sounding music I've heard have no lyrics. If an artist has beautiful vocals and expresses emotions well.. then of course it's a plus, lyrics alone can't express much emotion unless it is vocalized correctly.. and music doesn't always need vocals to express emotion. period.

obviously you're not getting me. I'm not dissin' lyrics. -_- I'm just saying they are not always needed to express a lot of emotion. You can make a lyricless Video and have deep emotional images synch to the audio.. like one of the tracks from "Requiem for a Dream" and with the right visuals you can make a very meaningful video with a lot of emotion in it.

well good job.. This seems like a good discussion for a music forum but not much for here. I'd like to mainly get back to listing if anyone can think of any vids to have this.

I have had the idea of trying out this concept in a video.. that clip showed was actually from the track I want to use that will have a lot of it going on. If anyone is interested the songs name is "A-Lusion - Re-bel". I don't know when or if I'll go back to working on that video.. I just suck at effects and the video would demand a lot of it soo maybe if I could get help with the effects I can get back to working on it.

Anyone else have a video that has this going on or even better one with a good amount of it going on?
