this is one of the biggest headaches when it comes to visual quality.. how do most people tackle this issue? I've tried dedot and other few methods but i suck at getting rid of this? should i just ignore it?

Didja remember to put DeDot (or whatever other filters you tried) before IVTC or resizing or basically almost anything else?

yes i have.. i think i may have forgot to do it that way before. I don't think I messed the order of the filters in more recent scripts. sometimes it seems like it doesn't go away no matter what I try like with beat angel escalayer(you could see it in my cigaro video). The image i posted actually is without filters.. I just wanted to post it for those who don't know what it is(should of made a zoomed shot though.

No I do not have that. The most I've ever done with dedot was this

no customizations or anything.. I don't know how to adjust the settings for it.

All right, here you go:

Parameters
<b>DeDot(luma2d,lumaT,chromaT1,chromaT2) </b>
default 20,20,15,5

luma2d
Spatial luma threshold.
This value is lower, DeDot detects more pixels as Dot Crawl.

lumaT
Tolerance of Temporal luma signals.
This value is higher, DeDot detects more pixels as Dot Crawl.

chromaT1
Tolerance of temporal chroma signals.
This value is higher, DeDot detects more pixels as cross-color.

chromaT2
Temporal chroma threshold.
This value is lower, DeDot detects more pixels as cross-color.

You shouldn't need to adjust the last two values for dot crawl removal purposes; you can probably just set them both to 0 to deactivate derainbowing.
