Changing User Name

Is it possible. I have been using a tag on this site that I no longer use. I now own my own website and have taken my permanent S/N but now I either choose to keep my current one and confuse ppl or change it and lose all of my data and the fact that I have been a member for a good period of time.

There used to be a thread where you could ask for a name change, but that has been discarded. I forget the reason. Probably because so many people wanted name changes (over and over again) and it's a relatively unimportant matter.

I thought that it was because the mods and admins were so busy that having the sticky was just another distraction

I guess it is really not a big deal, I just was hoping. I still got alittle bit more time until I release my video so if anyone can help me before I do then that is cool, if not then I guess I will have to make a new user.
