The majority of the anime community relies on codec packages like CCCP. Accessability is an issue here. I really don't want to say 'It'll play better if you download this instead of using this'. People get pissed off when they have to download things for playback.

same thing happened when xvid became more of a standard... if they really want to see it they will download what's needed to play it.
