download eo-video
you can use this program to convert the quicktime to an avi file, which can be played in just about everything

that is an option, the other one being the trial version.
It says that it works for 30 days

this one doesn't look like it expires, and it can re-encode up to 5 minutes (has to be the first 5 minutes) of any .mov file

can't say much here, it says full funcitonality, but I bet it expires pretty quickly (maybe not)

freeware that can convert mov files to mpeg1 or mpeg2, also plays .mov
